Mildred (Millie) Minor, 83, of Cottonwood died March 26. She was born May 13, 1926 in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of James P. Stanphill and Ula Gatlin Stanphill. She worked as a kindergarten teacher and a housewife. A member of the Clarkdale Baptist Church, she enjoyed her church work and caring for others. She will be sorely missed and we praise the Lord for her legacy. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William (Bill) Minor; sons Steven (Kay) of Rocky Hill, Connecticut, Richard (Darci) and David (Valerie) of Newcastle, Washington; a brother James Stanphill of Huntington Beach, California; sisters Dorthy Greening (C.A.) of Farming, New Mexico and Edna Leach of Plainview, Texas; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A visitation will be on Monday, March 29 at Westcott Funeral Home from 4 - 6pm. A slideshow honoring Millie\u0027s life will be held Tuesday March 30 in the Clarkdale Baptist Church starting at 3:10 followed by the funeral service at 3:30.
