Mildred H. Ryberg, 88, died, Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at her hone in Cottonwood, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Ryberg was born September 19, 1917 in Ellisville, Arkansas to John and Edith May. She was raised in Arizona at various small railroad outposts where her father was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad. She graduated from Williams High School in 1934. In 1936 she married Emil Ryberg and began her career as a lovinig wife, and caring mother. The couple lived and raised their children in Flagstaff and Happy Jack logging camp. In 1980 they retired to Cottonwood. Mrs. Ryberg, was a faithful Christian and in the early 1950\u0027s was a founding member of Mt. View Baptist Church in Flagstaff. She was a member of Verde Valley Baptist Church in Cottonwood. Mrs. Ryberg was preceded in death by her mother and father, four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, Emil Ryberg; three children, Paul (Phyllis) Ryberg of Phoenix, Ron (Joan) Ryberg of Clarkdale, and Sally (Cleve) Tilousi of Flagstaff; seven grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 12, 20006 at 3:00 pm at the Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Avenue. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale, AZ.
