Millard Dickison, age 75, resident of Rimrock, Arizona, passed away from cancer on July 10, 2006. He was born on July 15, 1930 in Big Park, Arizona. Millard was the son of Clarence Kelly and Hazel Dickison whom homesteaded the Dickison Ranch in Big Park, Arizona. Millard lived and worked in Big Park for 68 years before moving to Rimrock with his daughter. Even though Millard was a cowboy all of his life he served in the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1953. After the war, Millard worked for Kel Fox and the 2 Bar Cattle Company for 30 years. When Kel Fox sold his company to Morrison Brothers, Millard went to work for them until his retirement. Millard loved spending time with his cattle, drinking coffee with his buddies, and working as a cowhand. He was a quiet man that loved nature, being with friends, an honest man and a hard worker. When he would slow down from his work he would read westerns, watch the Diamondbacks - win or lose, and be at his dog's beck and call, which he loved. Millard is survived by his children, Cherise (Dan) Moore, Rick (Pat) Dickison and Vicki Bateman; Stepdaughters, Sandy (Harry) Zinn and Kristie Kelly; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Davidson; Brother, Vic Dickison; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Millard also leaves behind his dog Rafiki, who was his faithful and loving companion.
