Morey R. Doty, 81, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2007. He was born January 31, 1926 in Findlay, Ohio to Harry and Hazel (Love) Doty. Morey served his country during WWII in the United States Army as a Tec 5 Surgical Technician. He then worked for Bechtel Construction Company until his retirement, located in San Francisco, California. It was in 1999 that Morey and his wife, Louise made their final move to Cottonwood, where they have made their final home. Morey was a member of the Verde Valley Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, reading and traveling. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Emily Ann Doty; his son, David J. Doty; and his brother-in-law, Robert Kemerly. He leaves behind his wife, Louise; his son, Dan Doty with his wife, Clare of Phoenix, Arizona; his daughter, Cynthia Jo Hammond with her husband, Jeff of St. John, Arizona; his two sisters, Annabelle Campbell with her husband, Herman, and Marilyn Kemerly; as well as, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at the Verde Valley Christian Church. Once date and time are confirmed it will be posted on the Cottonwood Ranch Club House bulletin board.
