Morgan Johnson

Morgan Johnson Sr., 86 of Clarkdale, passed away at home on July 24, 2016. He was born on July 2, 1930 in Camp Verde to James and Effie Johnson. Morgan attended Phoenix Indian High School. He served his country during the Korean War in the Army and the Marines. Morgan worked and retired from the Town of Clarkdale for 30 years and for Westcott Funeral Home. He enjoyed watching baseball and spending time with his family whom he loved very much. Morgan was preceded in death by his wife Louise Johnson and son Teddy Johnson. He is survived by sons Morgan Johnson Jr. (Irene) and Marvin Johnson (Annette), both of Clarkdale; daughters Lucille Johnson (Bill), Libby Johnson and Mattie Fields (Fred), all of Clarkdale; 13 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood. Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 28 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The service will take place on Friday, July 29 at 10:00am.
