Myron Lee Johnson, age 44, resident of Camp Verde, Arizona, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2006. Myron was born on December 11, 1961 in Cottonwood, Arizona to Edward Telese and Winona Johnson. As a child, Myron attended both the Clarkdale and Cottonwood Elementary Schools, in his teenage years, he attended Mingus High School in Cottonwood, Arizona, but graduated from Intermountain Indian High School in Ogden, Utah. As an adult, Myron worked as a dispatcher and police officer in Ignacio, Colorado. Upon returning to Arizona, he worked for the Yavapai-Apache Nation, where he held various positions; such as, Animal Control Officer, Probation Officer, and Child Protective Services Investigator. Myron enjoyed fishing, hunting, softball, horseback riding, and his Native American Traditional activities. Myron will be greatly missed by his family and his community. Myron's loving and devoted attributes will forever influence and touch the lives of those he loved and helped. It was his kind heart and generous spirit that inspired all who knew, or even met, Myron. He held many titles; husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend - all of which, he held with pride, and lived with meaning. Myron leaves behind his loving wife of almost 9 years, Debra Johnson, of Camp Verde, Arizona; his son, Brandon Johnson of Ignacio, Colorado; his step-sons, Levi Smith with his wife Jaqueline of San Diego, California, Dewayne Smith with his wife Kelly of Susanville, California, and Deci Hernandez of Camp Verde, Arizona; his step-daughters, Eve Hernandez of Phoenix, Arizona, Jessica Hernandez and April Hernandez both of Camp Verde, Arizona; his brother, Bruce Nahee with his wife Susan of Prescott, Arizona; his sisters, Cindy Nahee and Myrna Sandlin with her husband Mike, all of Clarkdale, Arizona; 3 grandchildren; as well as, many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A visitation will be held at the home of Myron and Debra, 3675 Shaw Ave., in Camp Verde, Arizona on Friday, July 14, 2006 beginning at 6:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 9:00am at the Yavapai-Apache Community Gymnasium, 2400 W. Datsi St., also in Camp Verde, Arizona.
