Norbert Frank Koehs, of Cornville, Arizona, died March 15, 2006, at his home. He was born on December 10, 1925, to John and Emma Lotz Koehs in Hamilton, Ohio. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Norbert was an Arizona resident for the past 12 years, after retiring from a long industrious career as an insurance executive in Illinois. He served his country during WWII as a sergeant in the US Army. He studied at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Norbert attended the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He served on the Board for the Sedona Art Center and worked tirelessly as a fundraiser and volunteer. He served as a Leading Knight and Trustee for the Sedona and Jerome Elks Clubs. He served on several corporate Boards of Directors. He was a volunteer for several area schools and hospitals. Norbert was enthusiastic and driven in everything he did. He lived his long life with purpose, curiosity and a razor-sharp sense of humor. He was an avid golfer who scored 3 holes-in-one. He traveled the world. He enjoyed art, history, the stock market, and a competitive game of cards. He met every challenge head-on. He made many good friends and collected happy memories along the way. Most of all, he deeply loved his family and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Tressie Koehs; daughters: Victoria Koehs Collins of Houston, Texas; Donna Koehs (Jeff) Harwood of Lake Barrington Hills, Illinois; Jennifer Lux of Sedona, Arizona; and Jessica Lux also of Sedona, Arizona; his brother, John Koehs of Hamilton, Ohio; and his siter, Rhnda Howard. He was also the loving grandfather of 6 adoring grandchildren: Samantha, Daniel, Bradley, Kathryn, Brittany and Tressie. A Memorial Service, with Military Honors, will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 11:00am, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood, Arizona. Following the service, a celebration of his life will be held at the Verde Santa Fe Clubhouse, just off of Cornville Road.
