Norman J. Olson

Norman J. Olson, 91 of Cottonwood, passed away on May 25, 2011. He was born on March 1, 1920 in Helendale Township, N.D. to John and Oline Olson. Norman attended the Veterans Farm School then joined the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a farmer and belonged to the Helendale Lutheran Church. Norman is preceded in death by wife Elanor S. Olson. He is survived by son Jim Gulland of Iowa City, Iowa; daughter Brenda K. Midkiff (David) of Camp Verde; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Services will be held in the Helendale Lutheran Church in Leonard, N.D. Monday, June 6 at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Helendale Lutheran Church.
