Norman R. Schrader

Norman R. Schrader, 81, of Cottonwood died May 21. He was born Fenruary 18, 1923 in Roberts County, South Dakota. He was a graduate of Browns Valley High School of Browns Valley, Minnesota. He was a retired owner and operator of a treanching business. Mr. Schrader was previously a farmer in South Dakota. He enjoyed gardening and his grandchildren. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Darlene Schrader; a daughter and her husband, Linda and Patrick Thornburg of Cornville; two brothers, Winford Schrader of North Highlands, California and Willard Schrader of Palm Desert, California; two sisters, Evelyn Simon of Sisseton, South Dakota and Fern Doschadis of Wilmot, South Dakota; four grandchildren, Danny, Chad, Chris and Kimberly; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Thornburg and Malia Thornburg. A son, Larry, preceded him in death. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 25 in the Faith Lutheran Church. Donations in his memory may be held to the Faith Lutheran Church, 2021 E. Fir St., Cottonwood 86326. Westcott Funeral Home handled these arrangements.
