Oleva Mae Garcia, 74, resident of Camp Verde, Arizona passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006. She was born on July 11, 1930 to John and Lenora Long in King Fisher, Oklahoma. As a child she attended the Tigard Grade School and High School. As an adult she worked as a bookkeeper for Maywood Acres Convalescent Hospital for 14 years. It was from Maywood Acres that she took her retirement. Oleva was a member of the VFW and she enjoyed traveling and bowling. She is preceded in death by her father, John J. Long. She leaves behind her husband of 43 years, Raymond J. Garcia, of Camp Verde, Arizona; her children, Michael Simon, Regina Simon and Denise Richardson, all of Oklahoma; her mother, Lenora Long of Oregon; two brothers James D. Long with his wife, Donna, and Jerry Long with his wife, Brenda, all of Oregon; her sister, Joyce Fragale with her husband, Joe, of Arizona; as well as, five grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 11:00am at the VFW Building in Camp Verde, Arizona. An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com
