Omar Zachory Fray, 35, of Clarkdale, died Dec. 3, 2011 at his home after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 11, 1976 in Phoenix. He was raised in Jerome and graduated from Mingus Union High School. He was an accomplished chef and many locals enjoyed his culinary creations. He is survived by his partner, Sashea Lavender, their two young daughters, Olive and Vida Fray; his father, Noel Fray; and his sister, Stephanie Klein of Colorado. His mother was the late Diane MacDougall. He will be remembered by many other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Omar loved being with his family, listening to music, preparing fine food, exploring nature, laughing, having fun with friends and experiencing life to the fullest. Omar touched the lives of many people with his smile, his generosity, his honesty and his sense of humor. Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 17th, 2011, beginning at noon at Paul \u0026 Jerry\u0027s Saloon, 206 Main Street, Jerome, AZ 86331. Weather permitting, there will also be an outdoor celebration in the Jerome Park directly across the street from Paul \u0026 Jerry\u0027s at the same time.
