Paul C. Haynie

Paul C. Haynie, 73, of Cottonwood died June 23. He was born June 13, 1936 in Shelton , Nebraska , the son of Douglas and Neva Haynie. He attended Colorado University and served his country on the USS Midway. Mr. Haynie was a commercial pilot working Continental Airlines and Frontier Airlines for 36 years. He was a member of Verde Baptist Church . He played trombone at the church also with the Cottonwood Community Band. An adventurous man who loved life, his passion were flying and sailing. He will be remembered as a loving husband and proud of his sons, Scott and Doug. He loved his grandchildren, sisters and in-laws. Mr. Haynie leaves his wife Lisa; two sons, Doug and Scott Haynie, sisters, Nancy Houghton and Karen Hopes; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 27 in the Verde Baptist Church at 10 AM . Donations in his memory may be made to the Old Town Mission, 116 E. Pinal St. , Cottonwod 86326 .
