Paula Taylor of Jerome passed away at home on February 14, 2014, surrounded by friends. She was born on August 10, 1952 in Jerome to Robert and Wanda (Fishel) Taylor. She grew up in the Mid-West, the daughter of a minister and a teacher. She moved to Portland, OR for several years, eventually settling in Jerome, where she has lived for the last 32 years. She and her partner Chris traveled widely. This included visits to Australia and New Zealand, the northwest, Florida and many other travels. Paula worked as a CNA and caregiver. She was a unique and creative person. She was an avid letter writer, a poet and a lover of music and dance. Paula loved to help others and she had a great compassion for animals and nature. Paula is survived by her partner of many years, Chris Babbage of Jerome; her father, Robert Taylor of Alabama; her brothers, Wayne (Jenny) Taylor of Florida and Todd (Kim) Taylor of Iowa; and her sister, Tamara (Rich) Taylor-Hillyer. Paula\u0027s many friends and family members are gathering to celebrate her life on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 5 PM at the Jerome Fire Department.
