Peggy J. Clanton, 80, resident of Cornville, Arizona, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2006. She was born to Louis L. and Hazel B. Goetz on May 2, 1926 in Russell, Kansas, where she grew up and graduated from Russell High School. Following High School she took other advance studies. Peggy was an extremely intelligent and talented woman who worked diligently as her husband's confidant in regards to their investments. She also kept with land development and real estate. Peggy was also a remarkable interior decorator, a marvelous hostess and a superb events coordinator. She loved gourmet cooking, reading and golf. Peggy was the epitome if perfection in her primary roles of beloved and admired wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She achieved a level of adulation few will ever achieve. She defined the word, \u0027lady\u0027, in her personal actions, appearance and representations. May God receive, into the glories of heaven, the wondrous soul of this beautiful and deservedly blessed woman. She was a true paragon of virtue in the purest sense of the word. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Hazel Goetz. Peggy leaves behind her loving and devote husband of 62 years, Ray Clanton of Cornville, Arizona; her beloved children, Richard L. Clanton, with his wife Kathy, of Ventura, California, and Sharon K. Rassmussen, also of Ventura, California; her dearest brother, Norm L. Goetz, with his wife, Donna, of Tucson, Arizona, her sweet sister, Shirely J. Manka, with her husband Monte, of Hemet, California; as well as her adored 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
