Peggy Lee Kovacovich

Peggy Lee Kovacovich, 80, of Camp Verde died August 13, 2010 at her home. She was born November 6, 1929 in Mesa, Arizona, the daughter of Harvey Turner, Sr. and Ruby Turner. She was a graduate of Camp Verde High School and went on to receive a Masters Degree from Northern Arizona University. She was the first student to graduate from Northern Arizona University with a dual major at the masters degree level. Her majors were in guidance and counseling and in special education. Mrs. Kovacovich worked in the Camp Verde Unified School District for 19 years in Special Education. Her parents Harvey and Ruby Turner, a brother Harvey Turner, Jr. and a sister Virginia Ross, all preceded her in death. She leaves her husband of 62 years, George Kovacovich; a son Robert Kovacovich of Camp Verde; daughters, Sue Ann Mankin (Randy) of Scottsdale and Nancy L. Sanchez (David) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. No services will be held to honor Peggy\u0027s request.
