Philip A. Whitten, Sr., 87, of Camp Verde died February 3. He was born July 7, 1920 in Sentinal, Oklahoma, the son of George and Lela Mae Whitten. He was a graduate of Omaha, Nebraska schools and worked as a maintenance supervisor. He was an Army veteran. He will be remembered as a great father, husband and granddad. His first wife of 58 and a half years, Betty preceded him in death. He leaves his wife of six and a half years, Carmen Whitten; two sons, Kenneth R. Whitten (and his wife Scherrie) of Kingman and Philip A. Whitten, Jr. (and his wife Marion) of Willow Creek, California; a daughter, Patricia Morrell of Ramona, California; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
