Phyllis M. Baumann, 80, of Cottonwood, AZ passed away on October 2, 2021. She was born September 19, 1941, in Waterbury, CT to James E. Hine and Marcelle Poirier Hine.
She attended school as a child at Humiston Grade School and graduated after 8 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts at Buffalo State Teachers College and received her Master of Fine Art, Photography at University of NY in Buffalo. She produced non silver process art and her work was published in a book, “Handbook of Alternative Processes” by Jan Arnow 1982. Her art is on display at Mesa College, Colorado, and Eastman House, NY. Phyllis’ artwork has been shown at various locations throughout the United States and in Europe.
Phyllis was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Cottonwood; AZ. Phyllis will be missed by her family and friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her father and mother, James E. and Marcelle Hines. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Baumann of Cottonwood, AZ; son Michael Baumann of Buffalo, NY; daughter Sherry Marie Brink (David) of Clayton, NC; sisters Gail Holder of Saunderstown, RI and Elaine Hine of Horseshoe, NC; brother Dennis Hine (Ann) of Naples, FL; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Bridget’s Church, S. Main Street in Cheshire, CT on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 10AM.
In lieu of flowers, Phyllis requests donations to St. Joseph’s Oratory, St Brother Andre, 3800 Chemin Queen Mary Rd, Montreal, Quebec H3V1H6 Canada.
