Phyllis Lucille Christy

Phyllis Lucille Christy, 75, of Sedona passed away January 24, 2016. She was born one of nine kids on January 31, 1940 in Sedona, the daughter of Arthur and Lucille Newton. She attended Sedona schools. She worked at the Hitching Post Restaurant, Turtle Restaurant and Sedona Builders Supply. Her hobbies included hunting, hiking, camping and her dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents.. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Mack Christy; sons Bryan Christy and Greg Christy, both of Sedona; a brother Don Newton of Sedona; sisters Laverne Jones of Cottonwood, Bonnie Jackson of Rimrock, Sharon Sue of Sedona, and Vivian McCrossen of Cornville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 29 at the Canyon Trails Cowboy Church, 3132 White Bear Rd., Sedona at 2pm. Burial will be in Sedona Community Cemetery.
