Randall -Randy- Reimer

Randall (Randy) Ernest Reimer of Cottonwood, AZ passed away on July 28, 2014. He was born in Primghar, IA on October 9, 1947. He was the son of R. Hans and Elsie Reimer of Paullina, IA. He attended St. John\u0027s Lutheran Grade School in Germantown, IA. He completed his high school education in Paullina, IA, graduating in 1965. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda, on June 11, 1966. This union was blessed with a beautiful and loving daughter, Lori, on November 21, 1966. Randy and Linda lived in Omaha for 11 years and Hillsboro, TX for 3 years before moving to Dalhart, TX in 1979 where they purchased the Ben Franklin Store. In 1983, he went to work for the Dalhart Post Office. He retired from the Post Office in April of 2008. He and Linda fell in love with the Verde Valley and retired to Cottonwood in May of 2008. Randy enjoyed reading a good book, building and working on hotrods, home remodeling projects and being with his family and friends. He leaves to mourn his wife of 48 years, Linda; one daughter, Lori Smith (Steve), and 2 grandchildren, Justin and Heather Smith, all of Gilbert, AZ; two brothers, Robert Reimer of Okoboji, IA and Rodney Reimer (Phyllis) of Crescent, IA. His request was for donations in his memory to be made to DAWGSnTEXAS (No Kill Sanctuary), P.O. Box 911, Dalhart, TX 79022. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., Cottonwood, AZ 86326 at 2:30 PM with a reception to follow.
