Randy Alan Ziemkowski, 49, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away on Friday, August 03, 2007. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 15, 1958 to James Anthony and Betty Lou (Hawkins) Ziemkowski. Randy was a graduate of Mingus Union High School. Later, he became the owner and manager of Seedling Nursery in Camp Verde; he was also a worker for Fairway Foods. Randy was a long-time sufferer of Rheumatoid arthritis which eventually led to an early retirement. He was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and faithfully attended until he was no longer able. He had the opportunity in his lifetime to travel through Europe by train; and he appeared on the nationally televised "Romper Room". Randy loved to paint and listen to music. He thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people, and he will always be remembered as a very loving and generous man. Randy was the loving father of Celeste Ziemkowski of Cottonwood, Raymond Ziemkowski of Scottsdale, and Micah Ziemkowski of Cottonwood. He was the son of James and Betty Ziemkowski of Portland, Oregon; and the brother of Ron "R.J." Ziemkowski of San Diego, California, Debi McElwee with her husband, Dan of Prescott, Diana Johnson with her husband, Mark of Idylwild, California, and Donna Palmer with her husband, Darryl of Kapaa, Hawaii. Randy also leaves behind one grandchild. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007 at Westcott Funeral Home as follows: Rosary: 3:00pm / Visitation: 3:30pm / Funeral Service: 4:00pm.
