Father J.F. Michael Bain, passed away in his Clarkdale home on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the age of 78. He was the son of James Franklin and Elsie Mae Bain. He was born September 14, 1929 in Ashland, Kansas. Throughout his childhood Father Bain attended his K-12th grades in various places such as Kansas, California and Tennessee. He went on to receive his Batchelor\u0027s Degree from Wichita University. He also served his country during the Korean Conflict as a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. Father Bain was ordained as a Catholic Priest in 1962; and served in that capacity throughout many parts of Arizona which included Holbrook, Flagstaff, Black Canyon City, Chandler, Selegman, Williams, Cottonwood, and Clarkdale. Father Bain was also a collector of Native American art and jewelry. He is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his brother, Don Bain with his wife, Terry of Kanab, Utah. A Visitation will take place at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Sunday evening, September 7, 2008 from 5:00-7:00pm. The Rosary will be recited at 9:30am Monday morning, September 8, 2008 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00am.
