Richard B. Dehnert, Jr. 97, died January 11, 2011 in Cottonwood, Az. He was born August 18, 1913 in Chicago to Richard B. and Sadie Bach Dehnert. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost fifty years, Aurora Evelyn Voigt Dehnert and his sister, Dorothy M. Dehnert. He is survived by his sons, Richard B. Dehnert III (Krysta) of Clarkdale and Robin G. Dehnert of Lake Oswego, Ore., his grandchildren, Justin, Ellen, Colter, Dustin and Nathan and a great granddaughter, Sophie. After graduation from Hinsdale High School in Hinsdale, Ill, he served in the U. S Navy during WWII. Richard owned and operated jewelry and gift stores in Illinois and Wisconsin before moving to Albuquerque, N.M. in 1959. He held various positions in wholesale and retail until retiring to Clarkdale in 1988. A private family service in Cottonwood will be followed by burial in Chicago.
