Richard Allen Lefor Jr \u0027R.J.\u0027 was born May 28, 1983 in St. Joseph, MI. He went to school in Hartford and Watervliet, MI. He was a 2001 graduate of Watervliet High School. His love of sports led him through many baseball, basketball \u0026 football teams in MI. His sports accomplishments are numerous, including Jr. Nationals Basketball award winner, MI state record holder for passing yards completed in a single season as a quarterback for the Watervliet Panthers. He was quarterback for the Kalamazoo Dawgs semi-pro football team and took them through the Vegas Bowl Championship series in Las Vegas. He played on numerous softball teams in Coloma, MI and Cottonwood, AZ. After years in MI, he made AZ his home. His love of the weather and nature drew him to this area - along with the ability to be close to his mother and little brother. His love of family \u0026 friends was amazing. His personality lit up every life he encountered. He held a special bond \u0026 love for both of his brothers - characterized by the true meaning of a loving big brother. RJ\u0027s favorite past time was spending time with his \u0027little bubbie\u0027 Jacob and enjoying his friends and family. He will be missed by all that love him, including his friends in MI, his special friends at the Get A Way, his past team mates for the Panthers and the Dawgs and all of his wonderful friends in and around Cottonwood, AZ. His survivors include: Parents: Cheryl and Randall Oliver - Cottonwood, AZ and Rick and Kim Lefor - Hartford, MI Brothers: Antoni \u0027Tony\u0027 Lefor - Hartford, MI and Jacob \u0027Bubbie\u0027 Oliver - Cottonwood, AZ Sister: Kasie Zilk - Lantan, FL Grandpa: Dick Oliver - Ozark, AR Grandma: Penny Tardiff - Chino Valley, AZ, and Sue Oliver - Ozark, AR Great Grandma: Hettie Skidmore - Benton Harbor, MI Uncles: Rick Price, Tom Lefor, David Lefor, Jeff Lefor, Bob Newton, and Kelly Oliver Aunts: Regina Rosenberg, Robin Saddler, Chris Lefor, Kris Lefor, Debbie Newton, Anne Lefor and Anita Williams He also leaves behind many cousins, great aunts \u0026 uncles - including the Lefor family, the Skidmore family, the Harris family, the Oliver Family, and the Pomorski family, along with many others that love him dearly. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15th at the Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16th at 1:00 p.m. from Emmanuel Fellowdhip Church in Cottonwood.
