Richard N. Ray

Richard N. Ray, 84, of Cornville died March 19. He was born April 22, 1919 in Jerome. Mr. Ray was retired from the State of Arizona where he worked with the Fish and Game Department. He also had worked as a cook for the Verde Valley School in Sedona. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and music. Mr. Ray is survived by three sons, Ronnie Ray of Globe, Ed Johnston of Flagstaff and Chuck Johnston of Mesa; five brothers; five sisters; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 27 at the American Legion Post in Cottonwood at 11 AM. Friends and family are encouraged to bring musical instruments.
