Richard F. Schmidt

Richard F. Schmidt, 86, of Sedona, passed away December 27, 2020 in Camp Verde. He was born September 28, 1934 in Del Norte, Colorado to Frank and Edith Schmidt. Richard attended and received his diploma from Del Norte High. He was employed by Moore Builders where he worked custom building houses. He also worked for M&M Properties where he built and remodeled commercial and private properties. There has never been a person he met that did not like him. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Joan K. Schmidt and his parents, Frank and Edith Schmidt. He is survived by Stepson Terry Dean Dickey; Son Jerry Dale Schmidt (Doreen) of Spur, TX; daughter Rebecca Lienhart (Mason) of Camp Verde, AZ; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and countless family and friends. Services will be held at Middle Verde Cemetery on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2 PM. Contributions can be made to Compassus Hospice Sedona or Meals on Wheels Sedona.
