Rito L. Quesada, known to many as "Chino" passed away at the age of 85 in his Cottonwood home on Sunday, July 13, 2008. He was born March 28, 1923, and was a lifetime resident of Arizona. Rito served as a chief gunner\u0027s mate in the United States Navy aboard the USS Moale and the USS Fanshaw Bay during WWII. Rito and Mary raised their family in Ajo. Upon his retirement from Phelps Dodge Corporation, they moved to Cottonwood, where Chino and Mary made their final home. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary M. Quesada of Cottonwood; his sons, Rito M. Quesada III of Cottonwood, and Robert M. Quesada with his wife, Cheryl of Tucson; his daughters, Sylvia Q. Sanora with her husband, Francisco of Ajo, Armida Zaragoza of Los Banos, and Esther Quesada of San Jose. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his son, Daniel M. Quesada; his grandson, Fabian Diaz, and great-granddaughter, Sonia Gonzales. A visitation will be held at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood on Thursday evening, July 17, 2008 from 5:00-7:00pm with the Rosary to begin at 6:00pm. The Funeral Mass will follow Friday morning at 10:00am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with interment at All Souls Cemetery.
