Robert Curtis (Bob) Carlson, 72 of Cornville, AZ formerly of Duluth passed away peacefully 9/29/2023 surrounded by his wife Jackie and daughter Andrea.
Bob was born in Grafton, ND on April 12, 1951 to Marshall and Joan Carlson. He resided in Duluth all his life and after retirement relocated to Cornville, AZ with Jackie.
Two of Bob’s loves were fishing and playing golf. He had numerous fishing adventures with his “buddies” over the years and was a “master” at designing and constructing custom fishing rods. He loved playing golf and had the pleasure of frequenting many courses over the years and played until his health condition forced him to “retire” his clubs.
Bob served in the army and was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY where his daughter was born. After his discharge he, Jackie and Andrea moved back to Duluth where he started his long career working for the railroad starting out as a brakeman and working his way up to engineer. How he loved to tell us about his railroad adventures!
Bob was preceded in death by both parents and his brother Michael. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Jackie, his daughter Andrea both residing in Cornville, AZ, sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Pat, nephews Michael (Alyssa) DeRosier and Ryan (Sabrina) DeRosier and their families.
We love and will miss you Bob.
God saw you getting tired and the cure was not to be, so He put his arms around you and whispered "Come with me." With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating; hardworking hands now put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
