Robert F. Crozier

April 16, 1934 — June 17, 2013

Robert F. Crozier, 79 of Cornville, passed away on June 17, 2013 in Peoria. He was born on April 16, 1934 in Passaic, New Jersey to Robert and Agnes Crozier. Robert attended school in New Jersey. He was a member of the Verde Valley Amateur Radio Association WB7STD. For a period of time he also served on the Verde Valley Medical Center\u0027s Foundation Committee. While living in Colorado he enjoyed hiking, fishing, camping and photography, but always loved challenges. He was a vivacious, creative, spiritual and loving man who saw the essence in people and enjoyed life, and most of all his wife and life companion Joan. Bob loved to create, invent and improve on any advanced technology of the time, be it electrical, mechanical or computer related. He held several patents for his inventions. In the latter 60\u0027s he developed and patented the first solid-state remote controlled gasoline dispensing units (no mechanical relays or moving parts). These were installed across the nation as each state legalized the self-service pumping of gasoline. Up until that time only the gas station attendant could fill your vehicle with gasoline. Bob is preceded in death by sister Linda and parents Robert and Agnes Crozier. He is survived by wife Joan of 60 years; sister Agnes-Marie Kell of New Jersey and many nieces and nephews. On Sunday, September 29th, a potluck picnic will be held at Windmill Park in Cornville from 3:00 to 5:00pm in the afternoon for a Celebration of Life memorial for family and friends. An online guestbook is available to sign at www.westcottfuneralhome.com
