Robert A. Derke

Robert A. Derke, 82, resident, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at his home in Camp Verde. He was born May 6, 1925 in Madison, Wisconsin to Julius and Ellen (Swensen) Derke. Robert was proud to serve his country during WWII; and holds membership with both the VFW-Post 6793 in Camp Verde, and the American Legion-Post 25 in Cottonwood. Robert was a man who had love for all and it was shown through his caring personality. He will be missed deeply and remembered fondly by all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind his three sons, James "JD" Derke with his wife, Pamela of Camp Verde, Michael Derke with his wife, Eleni of Jacksonville, Florida, and Robert Derke of Scottsdale; as well as twelve adored grandchildren, Lisa, Jamie, Kayla Elias, Rhea, John, Stacey, Rachel, Jesse, Gina, William, and Derek.
