Robert Leon Ackerman

Robert Leon Ackerman, 70, resident of Camp Verde, passed away at his home on Monday, July 9, 2007. He was born September 21, 1936 Carmi, Illinois to Guy Robert and Thelma Pauline (Carter) Ackerman. Robert was a retired truck driver. He was a simple man, who loved being surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded by his parents; and his daughter, Amy Suzanne Christianson. He leaves behind his wife of nearly 50 years, Nancy Rose Ackerman of Camp Verde; two sons, Vance Robert Ackerman with his wife, Sharon of Cottonwood, and Scott Pierce Ackerman with his wife, Laurie of Washington; his brother, Tom Ackerman with his wife, Diane of Nevada; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held in Robert's honor on Saturday, June 14, 2007 at 10:30am at the First Baptist Church in Camp Verde, where he was a faithful member. Robert will be laid to rest in the Middle Verde Cemetery-those services are private.
