It is with great sorrow that we report the passing of our amazing father, Robert (Bob) R. Ruppel, who, at the age 69, died in his Clarkdale, AZ home on March 23, 2015. Bob was born on May 31, 1945 in Muskegon, MI to Rosswell and Ruth Ruppel. Bob was a great person. He was one of those people that everyone liked and wanted to be around. He always had a helping hand when one was needed-he was a "light" on this earth. Bob was a great husband, father, grandfather and uncle, always making time to get on the floor and play or let his little girl nieces braid and brush his long hair and beard; and what a beard it was! As all of us know, Bob was a one of a kind. He was like a toasted marshmallow, Hard on the outside but warm and gooey within. He loved his family and friends with all he had and nothing less. Bob was a U.S. Navy Veteran and he has played Santa Claus for many, many years. He worked at Clark Floor Machine, Howmet and, in Arizona, Phelps and Sons, but in 2007 Bob and his friend Stan Wokow started Verde River Hold 'Em, an area Texas Hold 'Em game held at many area restaurants and bars. Of all the many things he has done, the poker game, and all the great people he met through it, has been his most favorite "job". Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sandra K. Ruppel in 2007. He is survived by his children, Deanna (Tim) Todaro, Robert A. Ruppel and Brian A. Ruppel; his brother, Olin C. Ruppel; his sisters, Mary (Bruce) Faulkner and Jeanine (Raulph) Spencer; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many great friends. Memorial donations in Bob's name may be made to the American Legion, Post 25, in Cottonwood, AZ. He is going to be greatly missed. We love you Dad!
