Robert -Mike- Sims

Robert Michael Sims "Mike", 44 of Clarkdale, passed away on March 26, 2013. Mike was born on April 10, 1968 in Cottonwood. He was the third child born to Robert Gerald and Shirley June (Clingman) Sims. Mike attended Cottonwood-Oak Creek Elementary School and Mingus Union High School. In 1994 he married Loretta (Encisco) whom he met in kindergarten. The two were friends throughout grade school and high school and marched together during graduation ceremonies from Mingus Union in 1986. Mike worked for Phoenix Cement Company in Clarkdale, Arizona. Mike enjoyed camping and riding his sand rail, dune buggy and ATV\u0027s with his wife and children. Mike is preceded in death by his father Robert Gerald Sims. He is survived by his wife Loretta (Encisco); daughter Ashley Hernandez (Matt); son Robert; daughter Michaela; mother Shirley June (Clingman); sister Kathy Selna; brother Jerry (Jill) as well as several nieces and nephews. Mike\u0027s first grandchild is expected this summer. Mike was an extremely devoted son, husband, father and friend. He will forever be loved and adored by his immediate and extended families and numerous friends. His viewing will be held at 10:00am, Rosary at 10:30am and Funeral Mass at 11:00am on April 1, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 700 N. Bill Gray Road in Cottonwood.
