Ronald D. Johnson, 70, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2007. He was born April 25, 1937 to Duane Kenneth and Cecilia (Davis) Johnson in Spokane, Washington; where he grew up and graduated from the local High School. Ronald was a Veteran of the United States Army; having served his country during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed gold panning, camping, poker, and traveling. Ron was a loving and generous husband and father; who was always there for his family and his friends. He taught through his example the true attributes of empathy and compassion. He is preceded in death by his son, David Johnson. Ronald leaves behind two sons, Michael Johnson of Spokane, Washington, and Richard Johnson with his wife, Lynn of Merced, California; four daughters, Kristin Noack, Lanette McComb with her husband, Brian of Tempe, Arizona, Lorine Horand of Bellevue, Washington, and Leah Smith with her husband, Dave of Phoenix, Arizona; 15 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
