Ronald Franklin Shumway, 73, resident of Cornville, Arizona passed away at his home, on Tuesday, November 14, 2006. He was born on January 2, 1933 at Henriville, Utah to James Howard and Sarah Lieuwen (Savage)Shumway. During his childhood, he attended the Tropic, Bingham and Willard Schools. Ronald was self-employed as a skilled craftsman and builder. Much of his work was done in Utah. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints. Ronald enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, and fishing-both deep sea and fresh water in local streams. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, James and Sarah Shumway. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Rosa Shumway of Cornville, Arizona; sons, James William Shumway with his wife Rebecca of Colorado, and Mark Ronald Shumway with his wife NaNae of Washington; daughter, Georgia Lou Crouch with her husband Robert of Utah; brothers, Lafe Parrish with his wife Joyce of Utah, and Howard Buckley with his wife Regina of California; sisters, Sharon Leany with her husband Bert, Beth Peterson with her husband Thomas, Ardis Brady with her husband Ed, Revo Taylor, and Rachael Marshall, all of Utah; aunts, Avalon Baker of Nevada and Verna Hinton of Utah; and uncle, Dallas Rose of Oklahoma. Ronald is also survived by 11 grandchildren; as well as, his step-mother, Alta Shumway of Utah. A Visitation will be held at the LDS Church on Hombre Drive in Cottonwood, on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 12:00pm, with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00pm.
