Ruth "Ann" Henke

Ruth Ann Henke, known and loved as Ann, resident of Cottonwood passed away on Monday, June 2, 2008 at the age of 62. Ann was the daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth Lappe; born in Jesup, Iowa on August 14, 1945. Ann was a loving and devoted wife and mother; who was proud to work within her own home. She also enjoyed the time she spent working at Friendly Bob\u0027s and Kaiser\u0027s West Restaurants in Sedona, where she met many wonderful people and made multiple lasting friendships. Her inner strength and external example of such followed her throughout her life and especially through her fight against cancer and related illnesses. Her sweet spirit and zest for life was an inspiration to everyone who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed by many. Ann leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Daniel Henke of Cottonwood; her son, Jason Henke with his wife, Mindy of Phoenix; her daughter, Christine Henke of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; her grandson, Daniel Henke of Phoenix; four brothers, Robert Lappe with his wife, Mel of Reno, Nevada, Ron Lappe with his wife, Tracy of Phoenix, Donald Lappe with his wife, Pam of Nevada, and Joseph Lappe of Sedona; and her four sisters, Donna Miller with her husband, Ray of Sedona, Mary Finn of Sedona, Patricia Hamilton with her husband, Milt of Salome, and Vicki Stoll of Cottonwood.
