Ruth May Triplett, 92, of Cottonwood, AZ born 8/17/23, went to be with our Lord on October 26, 2015. Ruth was deeply devoted to her faith, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy of 30 years, whom she met at a USO dance when Roy served as a member of the U. S. Army. They spent their early married years in Nebraska, Wyoming and California before settling in Phoenix. Ruth received her Master degree from ASU and taught elementary school at Phoenix Glenn L. Downs. She retired to Cottonwood in 1981. A long-time member of Mountain View United Methodist Church, she touched many lives in the church and broarder community, volunteering for a variety of organizations, including Old Town Mission. Ruth, known affectionately to many as the "cookie lady", was an avid swimmer and enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, hiking, and fishing. Ruth is survived by her 3 children, Jan (Dennis) Langford of Cottonwood, Larry (Jan) Triplett of Phoenix, and Judi Kurth of Phoenix, 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Ruth was completely devoted to helping others. Her compassionate heart, kindness, warmth and love will be remembered by anyone who knew her. Our family would like to thank Cottonwood Village staff for their 3 years of wonderful care and Valley View Care Hospice. Friends of Ruth are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life, to be held Saturday, November 21 at 1:00pm at Mountain View United Methodist Church, 901 S 12th St, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
