With joyful hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra Luisa St. George. Sandra, known to her friends and family as Sandi, was born January 2, 1960, in Douglas, Arizona, to her proud parents, Jeanette and Pedro (Pete) Grijalva. She was an extraordinary wife, an irreplaceable mother, and a zealous Nana. On June 14, 2023, Sandi eagerly ran into the arms of her heavenly father and to her heavenly home. Sandi was no stranger to family as she grew up with 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her mother, Jeanette Grijalva; brothers: Fernando (Tito) Grijalva, Catarino (Cati) Grijalva, Roleio (Leio) Grijalva, and sisters: Feliz Grijalva and Guadalupe (Lupe) Grijalva. She is preceded in death by her father, Pedro (Pete) Grijalva, brother, Pete Grijalva, and sister, Judy Grijalva. On May 5, 1990, Sandi married the love of her life, Dr. Charles Edward St. George. They celebrated 33 years of unity this past May. Sandi is survived by her three remarkable children: Jason, Steven, and Lynnette Estrada. In 1997 she earned the cherished title “Nana.” She is survived by her 15 beloved grandkids: Ricky, JJ, Mia Dora, Jaden, Daniel, Christian, Jade, Kyle, Angelika, Elashya, Selah, Rydel, Steven III, Lily, and Ezekiel. As Nana, she was devoted to spoiling each grandkid with love, affection, and otter pops! She enjoyed making lasting memories and teaching about loving Jesus, honoring family, and personal growth. Although God was her priority, of all the earthly blessings, she could count her family as number one. Sandi was captivatingly beautiful and an excellent example of hard work and perseverance. This showed not only in her professional life but her personal relationships. Those who met her wanted to know her, and those who knew her loved her dearly. It was impossible not to be impacted by her personality and witty humor. The majestic presence she radiated was because of how she lived her life. A woman of God, integrity, and character with a true heart of service. The final years of her life brought forth a fight that would ultimately lead us to share her testimony. Even though these last few years were challenging, true to who Sandi was, even in the face of cancer, she did not leave this life a victim of the sickness that took her away but remains victorious in her purpose and journey to bless the people she left here on earth. To say she will be missed is not an accurate description of the hearts that grieve this loss, but we still celebrate the warrior heaven has received.
