Santiago "David" Lucero, 64, of Camp Verde died February 1. He was born February 4, 1943 in McNary, Arizona, the son of Santiago A. and Rosa Lucero. He was a graduate of Flagstaff schools. He served his country in the Army. David worked for many years as a self employed truck driver. His hobbies included mechanics, fishing, camping, cars and the casino. Being with family and friends was very important to him. He is survived by his mother, Rosa R. Lucero of Cottonwood; a son, Jimmy Lucero of Camp Verde; three daughters, Deborah Leyva (and her husband Mario) of Surprise, Trisha Lucero of Cottonwood and Lisa Dominguez; three sisters, Vera Baca of Cottonwood, Mary Ann Lucero of Camp Verde and Jennie Gonzales (and her husband Manuel "Fred") of Cottonwood; an aunt Amparo (and her husband Manuel) Encisco of Cottonwood and uncle Cecilo Trill of Flagstaff; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Church Thursday, February 7 starting at 12 noon. Rosary at 12:30. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1 PM.
