Scott M. Long, 72, of Cottonwood died January 25. He was born May 8, 1937 in Fallon, Nevada, the son of Bert and Violet Farnsworth Long. He was a graduate of Portola, California High School. He attended University of Nevada Reno. He served his country in the Navy. Mr. Long was the owner of Long Consulting and also was the owner of Main Place Carpet until 2002. He had careers with IBM, where he worked for 14 years, also worked in software and hardware management with various computer companies. His hobbies included computers, photography, fishing and living life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by brothers Roger and Bob and a sister Janice. Mr. Long leaves his wife of 15 years, Lynn Kosterman; son Scott M. Long (Kirsten) of Bellingham, Washington; adopted son Kent Huguelet; daughters Robyn Huguelet of Fairplay, Colorado and Ellen Will (Don) of Alma, Colorado; sister Joyce Long of Los Angeles, California; mother in law Mary Kosterman of Cottonwood and sister in law and brother in law, Gail and Paul Kruppstadt of Racine, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held Saturday January 30 in the Evangel Fellowship Center Foursquare Church, 1380 E. Mingus Ave., Cottonwood at 11AM.
