Shirley Kelling

A long time resident of Montrose, Colorado, Shirley was born to Gladys Binkley \u0026 George Sims in Denver, Colorado, where she attended all schools, then graduated with a BS in Home Economics at the University of Colorado (CU), in Boulder in 1948. Shirley had many interests, particularly animals, cats, dogs, \u0026 horses. She had a love affair with and traveled throughout Mexico and had many friends there. She was an accomplished pianist having started lessons at age 6 and continued those through college. Shirley worked for a time at the US Forest Service office in Delta, \u0026 volunteered at the Montrose Public Library. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ralph V Kelling, Jr, in 1995, who was the Division Engineer for State of Colorado, Water Resources. After retirement, Ralph \u0026 Shirley moved to southern Arizona, where they enjoyed the warmth \u0026 sunshine! She is survived by her sons Jeff (Jean) of Cottonwood, and Bruce (Saudia) of Central Point, Oregon, and 3 grandchildren, Steven, Sara, \u0026 Billie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in her name to Northern Arizona Hospice, 203 South Candy Lane, Cottonwood, AZ 86326 , or to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah 84741-5000
