Steven James Ricci died July 26, 2013. He was born July 28, 1959 in Providence, Rhode Island to Kathleen and Walter Ricci. Steve was survived by his wife Tina Ann Ricci, his mother Kathleen Ricci, his aunt Charlene Seay, his sons Donald Stifle (Annabelle), David Stifle (Audrey), Lance Ricci (Trish) and grandchildren Jen\u0027ay and James. Steve served as a SEABEE in the Navy where he learned many of his construction skills. He participated in his community as a Volunteer Fireman and EMT with certification in Technical and Swift Water Rescue. Steve was a member of the Navy-Marine Corps MARS Military Affiliate Radio System and Yavapai County ARES/RACES providing Ham Radio communication in emergencies and local events. He was certified with FEMA in National Incident Management and Incident Command Systems, National Response Plan and ICS for Single Resources \u0026 Initixl Action Incidents. Steve worked at Rainbow Acres for 20 years, beginning his career as a Caregiver. At the time of his death Steve was Director of Buildings and Grounds. He was responsible for the construction of 14 building including the Palmer Community Center. He also was responsible for Rainbow\u0027s Computer Network and Communications and Rainbow\u0027s water system. Steve was licensed as a Large Commercial General Contractor and AZ State Grade 2 Water Treatment Plant Operator and Distribution System Operator and certified as an OSHA Trainer, A+ Professional IT Technician and in Mechanical Drafting. Steve earned a degree in management from Yavapai College. Steve spent his free time pursuing his many hobbies including Intarsia woodworking, building historical wood ships and photography. Steve enjoyed camping, hiking, hunting and fishing with his wife and friends. A celebration of Steve\u0027s life will be held on Friday, August 9th at 2:00pm at Rainbow Acres, 2120 W.
