Steven J. Weber, 65, a former resident of the Village of Oak Creek, died at his home in Rimrock on Saturday, May 27, 2006. Mr. Weber was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 25, 1941. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Kathryn and Anthony from Parma, Ohio. Mr. Weber is survived by his brothers, Anthony of Cave Junction, Oregon, Timothy (Dianna) of Valley City, Ohio, and Kenneth (Gloria) of Sedona. Mr. Weber also leaves behind numerous loving and caring nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He will be especially missed by his nephew Matthew Weber (Rachel) of Glendale, niece Theresa Weber of the Village of Oak Creek and his very special great niece Mackenzie. Mr. Weber graduated from Kent State University in 1967 with a BA in Business Administration and was a fraternity brother in Sigma Phi Epsilon. Upon graduating, Mr. Weber began a long career in the banking industry with Cleveland Trust Co. and then as a bank examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank in Cleveland. Mr. Weber also spent 20 years as a resident of Villa Hills, Ky, where he was employed in downtown Cincinnati by the Southern Ohio Bank as an auditor; and finally he completed his career with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service in Cincinnati. After retiring in 1997, he moved back to Ohio and in late 1998 he became the primary caregiver for his mother who was a stroke victim up until her death in 2002. Immediately thereafter, he was diagnosed with stage four cancer and moved from Ohio to Arizona where he immediately began recovery treatments. Mr. Weber's hobbies included hiking the trails of Sedona with his family, friends and his shelty collie, Cody. He was also an avid novelty collector of all sorts. Mr. Weber will be greatly missed by his family, neighbors, friends and all who had the good fortune of knowing and being around a kind and genuinely good man. A private service will be held at his request in Arizona and upon his return to Ohio. The family suggests donations be made in his name to: Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S.
