Susan Brennan Burt

Susan Brennan Burt, 70 passed away at home in Cornville, AZ on Feb. 19, 2007 following a swift battle with inflammatory breast cancer. A Chesterton, Indiana resident for 35 years, she was born May 24, 1936 in Sac City, Iowa to Hugh \u0026 Elizabeth Morton. She was the fifth of nine children and the eldest daughter. Susan was valedictorian of her class and a thespian. She served in the United States Marine Corps. After becoming the mother of 3, she earned a nursing degree at Purdue North Central and worked for a few years as an RN. Later she became a professional insurance agent and office manager of Burt Insurance Agency, Valparaiso, IN, where she worked until September of 2006. Susan was an avid reader, animal lover, gardener, amateur carpenter, self-taught musician (piano, accordion, harmonica) \u0026 a fan of good music. Survivors include husband Jack F. Burt of Indiana, daughter Cheryl Fanning of Cornville, son Terry Brennan of Indiana, son Matthew Brennan of Cottonwood, and step-daughter Mary Connors of Indiana. Private family services were held.
