Theodore A. Schmitt

Theodore A. Schmitt "Ted" of Cottonwood passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015. He was 90 years old. Ted was born on October 18, 1924 in St. Louis, MO to Theodore and Corrine Rudolph Schmitt. After graduating from high school Ted enlisted in the US Army and served his country during WWII. After his military service was completed Ted went on to college in his home state of Missouri to obtain his degree in social work. Ted went on to work in schools and with children; making a positive impact in the world around him. Ted eventually retired from the Missouri State Board of Education. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert Schmitt and his sister Shirley Held. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends; particularly James Scott, his best friend for over 60 years. A memorial service was held at Cottonwood Village on Friday, March 27, 2015.
