Townsend V. Dodd, 78, of Camp Verde, formerly of Flagstaff, died February 3 after battling Alzheimer\u0027s Disease. He was born December 25, 1925 in Bardley, Missouri. He married Bonnie Whitwell in 1949. Townsend moved his family from Missouri to Flagstaff in 1966 where he operated an electrical contracting business for many years. He loved horses, dogs, hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie; a son, Kenneth and his wife Ann Dodd of Flagtsaff; two daughters, Janet and her husband Eric Sorenson of Flagstaff and Nancy and her husband Brad Hoffman of Ortney, Washington; two brothers, Lonnie Dodd of California and Bill Dodd of Idaho; three sisters, Wilda Hill, Wanda Jayo and Bonnie Sherfield of Nevada; also six grandsons, Chris, Brad and Matthew Sorenson and Cody, Jake and Wyatt Hoffman; two grandaughters, Amber Hopkins and Ryleigh Hoffman. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7 in the Flagstaff Mortuary, 2545 N. 4th St., Flagstaff at 2:00 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Northern Arizona Alzheimers Association, 225 Grove Ave., Prescott, AZ 86301. Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family with local arrangements.
