Valeda Claire Swett

Valeda Claire Swett, resident of Cottonwood, passed away in Flagstaff on June 16, 2008. She was 94 years old. She was the daughter of Albert Leo and Teresa Marie Sloper; born in Vail, Oregon on March 18, 1914. Valeda worked for Verde Grocery in Cottonwood and was a member of the Verde Baptist Church. She joins her husband, Raymond B. Swett and her parents. She leaves behind her three sons, Albert Norman Swett (Judy) of Concord, California, Jon Raymond Swett (Cheryl) of Flagstaff, and David Wallace Swett (Julia) of Grovetown, Georgia; as well as two grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Westcott Funeral Home on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 11:00am with viewing just prior.
