Vera A. Garcia

Elvera A. Garcia "Vera", of Cottonwood, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013. She was born on December 6, 1915 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Frank and Louisa (Gonzalez) Armenta. Vera was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and of the Women of the Elks. She was an active contributor to Boys Town, Toys for Tots and the Cystic Fibrosis Society. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Vera is survived by her son, Louis Garcia of Cottonwood; her daughter, Carol (Herbert) Dunlap of Tucson; her brother, Rayes (Mary) Vasquez of New Mexico; and her sisters, Marie Vasquez, C. (Mac) McCleary and Dorothy Willits; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A visitation will be held at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 10 AM, with funeral services to follow at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale, Arizona.
