Vera Lotella Stemple (Verner), 97, passed away May 29, 2009 in Sedona. She was born January 18, 1912 on a ranch bear Bridgeport, Texas to Ona Mae (Webb) Verner and James Thomas Verner. They moved to Rush Springs, Oklahoma in 1922. She married Otis Jorgenson of Duncan, Oklahoma on September 22, 1929. They lived in Littlefield, Texas from 1929 to 1939. In 1939 Lotella moved to central California. During WWII a career high light was becoming an Electrical and Instrument inspector of Army Aircraft at Merced Army Base. She retired from the Fresno County Assessors Office on March 4, 1974. In 1977 she went to work for the Fresno California Association, Physical Handicapped and retired in 1985. Since retiring she has resided in Kingman, Arizona, Duncan, Oklahoma and Cottonwood, Arizona. Her third marriage was to Worley E. Stemple in Las Vegas Nevada on April 8, 1982. Worley preceded her in death on November 11, 2000. She was also preceded in death by husbands Otis Jorgenson and Michael Yohner; three sons Kenneth D. Jorgenson, Finis Wells, Curtis Lozell; brothers J D Verner, Garland Verner and Ralph Verner. Lotella is survived by her son Vernon Jorgenson and his wife Marie Mingo/Jorgenson of Sedona, Arizona; granddaughter Stacey Jorgenson of California; grandsons Timothy Jorgenson and Scott Jorgenson of Texas; sister Nina L. Swanson of California; 3 stepsons Robert Stemple, Mark Stemple and John Stemple; 2 stepdaughters Marlene Richards and Janice Maupin; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Westcott Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. There will be no services. Donations may be made to the Cancer Foundation.
