Victor F. Mayer, 87, of Camp Verde, died Monday, May 7, 2012. He was born August 19, 1924 in Dimock, SD to Leo and Augusta (Kurtenbach) Mayer. Victor spent over 30 years with Longyear Drilling Company and was a 50 year member of the Moose Lodge. He was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Frances Cabrini Church. He enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing and hunting. Victor was predeceased by his son Randall Mayer. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Josephine Mayer. He is also survived by his sons, Brian (Terri) Mayer of Oregon and Greg (Amy) Mayer of Wisconsin; his daughters, Sandra (Ron) Hindmarsh of Utah and Bridget Cox of Utah; his brothers, Raymond (Mari) Mayer, Billy (Mila) Mayer and Don (Starr) Mayer, all of Minnesota; his sisters, Helen Ray of North Carolina and Dorothy (Lamont) Gross of Minnesota; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Vic will be deeply missed by all of his loving family. He has \u0027gone fishing with his son Randy and his son-in-law John. A vigil will be held at 6:30 and the Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7 pm Friday, May 11, 2012 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church at 781 Cliff Parkway in Camp Verde.
