Virginia -Ginny- Forbes

Virginia "Ginny" Forbes of Cottonwood passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014. She had just turned 80 years old. Ginny was born on September 15, 1934 in Hazard, KY to Urias and Zelda Thompson. She earned a degree in interior design, and later on owned both Sedona Moving and Storage and Hurley Freight Company in Cottonwood. Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Forbes. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Forbes of Phoenix; her son David Forbes of Cottonwood; her sister, Maudie Lane of Cottonwood; her brothers, Carlo Thompson of Cottonwood, Urias Thompson Jr of California and Charles Gray of New Mexico; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale at 11 AM. An online guestbook is available to sign at www.westcottfuneralhome.com
